中國在北京貿易談判期間抨擊美國 (China Hits out at US During Trade Talks in Beijing)

美國一位主要貿易官員、商務部長古鐵雷斯表示，在美中星期二開始艱難的貿易會談開始之際，中國強烈反對華盛頓最近在知識產權問題上採取的行動。

商務部長古鐵雷斯在北京出席美中商業及貿易聯合委員會會議期間說，中國最高貿易談判官員、副總理吳儀非常強烈和直接地提到中國反對美國最近向世界貿易組織的投訴。

古鐵雷斯敦促中國不要對美國向世貿投訴感到冒犯，他強調說，這是公事公辦，而不是有所不敬。

世貿組織上個月對中國限制電影、音樂及書籍的銷售展開調查。

另外，美國和中國星期二簽署了保障食品、飼料和藥品品質的協議。

The top U.S. trade official，Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierre says China strongly objected to Washington's recent actions on intellectual property rights at the start of difficult trade talks Tuesday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the meetings in Beijing of the China-U.S. Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade, Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez said China's top trade negotiator Wu Yi very strongly and directly mentioned that China objects to recent U.S. complaints to the World Trade Organization.

Gutierrez urged China to not take offense at the WTO complaints, stressing that they are a matter of business and not disrespect.

The WTO opened an investigation last month into Chinese restrictions on the sale of movies, music and books. 

Also today, the United States and China signed agreements to safeguard the quality of food, feed and drugs.

中國政府說，通貨膨脹的關鍵指數之一消費者價格，上個月達到最高水準，而同時，中國貿易順差繼續竄升。

政府官員星期二說，消費者價格11月份與去年同期相比增長了6.9%。通貨膨脹在最近幾個月上升，主要是因為食品價格呈雙位數增長，特別是中國人的主要肉食豬肉。豬肉價格上漲的原因被歸咎於導致數以百萬計頭豬死亡的一種瘟病以及飼料成本上漲。

China's government says consumer prices - a key indicator for inflation -
rose to their highest level last month as the country's trade surplus continued to soar.

Government officials said Tuesday that consumer prices went up six-point-nine percent in November compared to the same month in the previous year. Inflation has surged in recent months, mainly because of double-digit increases in food prices, especially for pork - China's staple meat. A disease that killed millions of pigs and the rising cost of feed grains have been blamed for the increase in prices.

Beijing is worried about mounting public anger over inflation and has frozen several of the prices it controls to contain the country's inflation surge.

China's trade surplus also remained high in November, totaling more than 26 billion dollars.
