泰官員稱前總理若回國將被逮捕 (Thai Officials Say Former PM Will be Arrested if He Returns Home)

泰國官員說，被推翻的前總理他信如果返回泰國，將會被以腐敗和欺詐罪逮捕。星期四，泰國總檢察長辦公室的高級官員對記者說，他信和他的妻子如果回國將被收押，因為當局已經發出逮捕令。

軍方任命的繼任他信總理的政府針對他的腐敗指稱展開了幾項調查。

Officials in Thailand say ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra will be arrested on corruption and fraud charges if he returns to the country. A senior official at Thailand's Office of the Attorney General told reporters Thursday that both Mr. Thaksin and his wife would be taken into custody if they return because warrants have already been issued for their arrest.

The military-appointed government that succeeded Mr. Thaksin has launched several investigations into his alleged corruption. 

華盛頓州農郊地區六人死亡 (Six People Found Dead in Rural Washington State)

美國西北地區的華盛頓州當局說，西雅圖市郊外一處鄉村住房內發現6名死者，其中包括一名6歲女孩和一個3歲男童。一名男子和一名婦女因涉嫌這起殺人案被逮捕。當局說，案件發生在星期一。

調查人員說，死者的一名同事星期三發現了這些屍體，這6人看來是中彈身亡。

官員們排除了合併自殺的可能，但是說生活在附近的人沒有危險。槍殺的動機還不清楚。這6名死者據信是一家三代。

Authorities in the northwestern U.S. state of Washington say six people, including two children (a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy), have been found dead at a rural property outside the city of Seattle. A man and woman have been arrested in the killings, which authorities say happened on Monday.

Investigators say one of the victims' co-workers discovered the bodies Wednesday and that the six appeared to have been shot.

Officials have ruled out murder-suicide but say there is no danger to anyone living near the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unclear. The six were believed to be three generations of one family.
