The world's fastest man has accomplished what no man has done before, an Olympic "triple-double."

At the London Games Saturday, Usain Bolt anchored the Jamaicans to victory in the 4x100 relay in a world-record time of 36.84 seconds.

The win follows his first-place finishes in London in the 100- and 200-meter sprints.  He also captured all three races at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The United States finished second in 37.04 seconds, the old world-record time set by Bolt and the Jamaicans last year.  Trinidad and Tobago earned the bronze medal.

Also on the track, the Russians won gold medals in the 50-kilometer race-walk, the women's 20-kilometer race-walk, the women's high jump and the women's 800-meter race.

Elsewhere, Mexico beat Brazil, 2-1, for the gold medal in men's football (soccer), and Brazil topped the United States for the gold in women's volleyball.

In other results, France's Julie Bresset capped an extraordinary year by riding to victory in the women's mountain-bike cross country.

Russia's Sergey Kirdyapkin won a gold medal in the men's 50-kilometer walk, and Britain's Ed McKeever powered his way to gold in the inaugural men's 200-meter K-1 canoe sprint regatta.

In the medal count, the U.S. has been pulling away from China and has hit the century mark: 100 total.  Russia remains in third place and Britain in fourth.  The U.S. is slightly ahead of China in gold medals.
