As lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger has seen the group rise from a Hollywood burlesque act to a Grammy-nominated band. Now in the midst of a world tour, Nicole says that what makes the Dolls unique is the way they combine singing and dancing.
Nicole is also currently working on her first solo album, but denies rumors that she will leave the Pussycat Dolls to pursue a solo career.
In 1995, Blessid Union of Souls released their debut album, Home. Since then, Blessid Union of Souls' lead singer and founder Eliott Sloan has continued to write and produce music for the group. Although the band has not been able to duplicate the success of their first album, they have returned after a four-year break. Elliot Sloan and fellow band member guitarist Tony Clarke recently talked with VOA about their return to the studio.western music CD, "Untold Truths."

Colbie Caillat credits the website MySpace with helping her develop the fan base she needed to secure a record deal and release her debut album, Coco. She says her influences for the record ranged from soul to reggae to classic rock, and included her father, a recording engineer and producer who convinced Caillat to become a songwriter.
