Doctors in India treating Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, say there is no cause for concern.

The Dalai Lama's personal secretary says His Holiness will join from Mumbai in the 12-hour fasting and prayers for peace and freedom that are being organized in Dharamsala and elsewhere on Saturday, by the Tibetan Solidarity Committee.

The hospital tells the French news agency Friday that the Dalai Lama is in stable condition.

The Dalai Lama canceled two upcoming foreign trips to undergo medical tests, after experiencing discomfort during recent travels.

His office said the 73-year-old Buddhist leader's doctors had diagnosed him with exhaustion and recommended that he complete some medical tests.

The Dalai Lama spends several months a year traveling to promote Tibetan causes.  He recently returned to India after a visit to France.
