Following the most widespread and sustained protests against Chinese rule in Tibet since 1959 and the accompanying calls for dialog between Beijing and the Dalai Lama¡¦s government in exile from a cross section of important nations around the world, a meeting between the Dalai Lama¡¦s envoys and two officials from China¡¦s United Work Front took place on May 04, 2008 in Shenzen, China. The talks were focused on the present crises, its causes, and the steps needed to address the immediate crises situation. During the one day meeting, there¡¦s been an agreement to meet again on June.
