China has intensified its 'patriotic re-education' programs in monasteries and
other organizations throughout Tibet. Analysts say that the lack of genuine
religious freedom in Tibet, and more specifically, the forcing of Tibetans to
denounce the Dalai Lama, may be two of the major causes of anger and unrest in
the TAR and other Tibetan regions.
