VOA Tibetan Service began broadcasting in March, 1991, and today, we broadcast 4 hours daily via shortwave radio and Internet to our audiences in Tibet and in the region. Our programs provide Tibetan, regional, and international news and information as well as editorials on important issues. Apart from our staff in Washington DC, we have reporters based in Dharamsala, New Delhi, Bylakuppe, Kathmandu, Gangtok, Taipai, Paris, New York and Toronto.

Our programs include weekly features on youth, health and medicine, arts and literature and music. Table Talk, an extended interview segment with a Tibetan newsmaker, writer, artist, entrepreneur, educator or politician is especially popular. If you miss a live broadcast, our current programs and an archive of past programs are always available via internet at www.voatibetan.com.
