Classic Rock Wednesdays

Classic Rock Show banner 480x200

In the late-1960s, the listening and record-buying tastes of young Americans changed.  Instead of purchasing 45 RPM records, they bought albums that contained all-original material instead of consisting of one or two hits, and the rest being cover songs.

This spurred the growth of FM radio stations that played album cuts rather than just the Top 40 hits of the day.

The trend caught on giving birth to a generation of artists and music we now call Classic Rock.

Each Wednesday, Ed Kowalski takes an in-depth review of one of the groups or performers who made a major contribution to Classic Rock.
